Prerequisite: You must have taken our basic handgun class, i.e. Gals & Guns 1.0 or Basic CWP Course to attend this class. This course has been developed to teach the fundamentals of combat handgun with a semi automatic handgun (This is not a Revolver course). Training will include firearms safety instruction, and individual platform familiarization.  All live-fire drills will be conducted from the outside carry position (a quality holster) so as to effectively teach the following concepts:  The three point draw, speed reloading, tactical reloading, effective techniques for charging the slide, firearm malfunction clearances (Types 1-4), proper sight alignment and sight picture, the Balance between Speed and Accuracy (BSA), learning to properly use the trigger in order to minimization of muzzle deviation or  “flinching”, scanning and accessing for threats during after an Dynamic Critical Incident, movement (forward, rear, lateral) and shooting from cover and barricades.
