This course has been designed to teach students how to prepare and secure their homes from Home Invasion.  The instruction will include: understanding the dynamics of home invasion, preparing defense perimeters and deterrents prior to an event, crime prevention through environmental design methods, establishing secure “safe rooms” within your home, armed response within the home with either the use of less than lethal or lethal options, staging defense “tools” in the home, tactics for moving through and escaping from the home, engaging the intruder in your home, communication with dispatch centers and law enforcement officers during and after a use of force incident, legal liability and understanding Montana State law in regard to “stand your ground laws” and the use of force.
