The Well Armed Woman
TWAW Shooting Chapters exists to educate, equip and empower women in a safe and non-threatening environment for their effective and responsible self-defense with a firearm.
Women of all ages are encouraged to attend; however, you must be 18 years of age to participate in the live fire portion of this program. Bring your own firearm and ammunition. If you don’t have a handgun, one will be available for use and you can purchase ammunition at the training center. (Cash only, please!).
We provide a safe and comfortable environment for women to gather, learn, train and discuss the issues important to women gun owners. We will discuss the benefits of becoming a member of The Well Armed Woman Chapter and how the program works at your first meeting. There is no obligation, and no fee for your first meeting.
If you choose to become a TWAW CHAPTER MEMBER, the annual fee is $50.00. You can sign up online at The Well Armed Woman Shooting Chapters website. You must be an active member of TWAW Shooting Chapters to participate in live fire. Monthly meetings are held the 2nd Tuesday of each month from 5:45pm to 8pm.

She has received training at the Sig Sauer Academy, and trained with some of the industries well-known instructors, such as Olympic Shooter and TV’s Top Shot Gabby Franco along with many others. Trish was a match director for International Defensive Pistol Association and founded the Hudson Chapter in NY; she was a Chapter Leader of The Well Armed Woman Shooting Chapter in NY since 2012 and she was an approved NRA Basic Pistol Safety Instructor for the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office on the east coast since 2011.
Trish has taught over 500 students, both men and women, but realized a need for women to feel more comfortable in the often intimidating world of firearms. To help facilitate the entrance of women into the gun world, Trish founded the first Women’s Concealed Carry Holster Fashion Show in 2012 which emphasized the need to “Train before you carry!” She brings a varied amount of knowledge to the MTFI team and we are very excited to be working with her!
