Interactive Video Based Judgement Simulator Training
This course provides hands-on training in tactical movement within a home or other structures, followed by integration of these skills using a state-of-the-art computer simulator. Training utilizes an inert, laser-enabled, recoiling handgun for realism and safety.
Students will engage in multiple "shoot/don’t shoot" video scenarios designed to test judgment under pressure. Each scenario is recorded and reviewed during an after-action critique. Instructors dynamically adjust outcomes based on student behavior, creating one of the most realistic and effective methods for evaluating use-of-force knowledge and stress performance.
Note:
The live-firearm portion of the course is dependent upon winter cold weather conditions. If the temperatures are not favorable or safe for shooting, then the indoor computer simulator will be used.
Course Topics:
-
Firearms safety rules for handguns
-
Ammunition types and safety considerations
-
The fundamentals of pistol shooting
-
How to effectively stop a threat
