Montana Concealed Carry/Basic Handgun

This course is perfect for individuals with little to no experience with handguns. Whether you're new to firearms or looking to build confidence and foundational skills, this class provides a comprehensive introduction to safe and effective handgun use.

Course Topics:

• Choosing the right handgun and accessories for your individual needs

• Firearm safety with both revolvers and semi-automatic handguns

• Handgun parts, nomenclature, and basic operation

• Identifying and clearing common handgun malfunctions

• Understanding various types of ammunition and how they function

• Fundamentals of marksmanship

• Sight alignment and sight picture

• How to effectively stop a threat

• Cleaning and basic maintenance

Live Fire Qualification:
Each participant will complete a one-on-one live fire qualification with an instructor to ensure safe handling and shooting proficiency.

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be eligible to apply for a Montana State Concealed Weapons Permit (CWP) if they choose.

Loadout:

Please bring 50 rounds of handgun ammunition.
